JUDITH BEVERIDGE

Judith Beveridge is the author of seven collections of poetry, most recently Sun Music: New and Selected Poems. She has won a number of prizes including the NSW, Victorian and Queensland Premiers’ Poetry Awards, the Wesley Michel Wright Award and the Christopher Brennan and Philip Hodgins Memorial Medals. Her collection Devadatta’s Poems was short-listed for the Prime Minister’s Poetry Prize in 2015. She taught poetry writing at the University of Sydney for fifteen years before retiring in 2018. She was poetry editor for Meanjin from 2005-2016. Her work has been studied in schools and universities and has been translated into several languages.
