Kristine Ellis is a writer who has links to the Wakka Wakka people from Eidsvold, Queensland, and also to Kirriri (Hammond Island) in the Torres Strait. Her poem, ‘Missing Home’, was highly recommended in the Oodgeroo Noonuccal Prize 2016. She has had other poetry published in Rabbit Poetry Journal, Australian Poetry Journal and other work on AusLit online. In 2017, Kristine assisted The Deadly Mob from Concordia in writing, ‘Two Ways Strong, Jaz’s Story’. Kristine enjoys spending time with her young family and friends. Kristine currently works with young people.
