VESNA CVJETICANIN

Vesna Cvjeticanin
Creator through word, action and yarn: a bi-lingual poet, social activist and devoted knitter.
Being of bilingual background, Vesna values and enjoys her ability to deliver her poems in their recognisable 15-Lines-of-Thought format. Feeling a great sense of cultural integrity and social resourcefulness, and being a social warrior by nature and activist by orientation, Vesna is an experienced supporter of community activities, and has initiated and delivered various projects: from the mid 1990s, when she launched and was the first editor-in-chief of Serbian diasporic newsletter ‘Zdravlje’, to sponsoring refugees from the Balkans, the delivery of domestic violence support services for Canberra women, and knitting her #bakinobeanies that she often gifts to friends and family.
